Slapar/Hude/Golob/Bostič and FiveBras

Slapar/Hude/Golob/Bostič and FiveBras

At the sixteenth concert of the 33rd Young Virtuosi International Music Cycle, organized by Festival Ljubljana, two exceptional young ensembles will be featured.

A collage features five musicians: one playing a double bass, another holding cymbals, a guitarist with sunglasses, a pianist, and a brass ensemble in a decorated church setting. The mood is artistic and formal.

The Slapar / Hude / Golob / Bostič Quartet is made up of former classmates from the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Ljubljana who continued their studies in Berlin, Basel, and Vienna: guitarist Jure Slapar, pianist Samo Hude, double bassist and cellist Gal Golob, and drummer Gaj Bostič. The brass quintet FiveBrass was founded by students of the Ljubljana Academy of Music: trumpeters Amadej Štrajhar and Lovro Tavčar, horn player David Tretjak, trombonist Blaž Kozjek, and tubist Gašper Poprijan.
