The concert in the monumental Plečnik Church of St Francis of Assisi in Šiška will feature a performance by the Emil Komel Mixed Youth Choir from Gorizia, Italy, which is part of the Emil Komel Slovenian Centre for Music Education in Gorizia, Italy. The choir started its activity in 2008 under the direction of Damijana Čevdek, and in 2013 the choir was taken over by the choirmaster David Bandelj. Since then, the choir has regularly taken part in national and international competitions and has been awarded top prizes. The choir has premiered numerous works by Slovenian and Italian composers such as Patrick Quaggiato, Tadeja Vulc, Andrej Makor, Roberto Brisotto, Barbara Grahor Vovk and Hilarij Lavrenčič, and has performed in renowned concert subscriptions and with renowned soloists such as Marko and Bernarda Fink. He has already performed in several vocal-instrumental works with orchestra, such as Vivaldi's Gloria, Bach's Magnificat or Ola Gjeilova's Sunrise Mass. The choir has so far released two CDs.
