Slovenia is full of ski resorts of all sizes. There are four large ski resorts with more than 10 ski lifts, several medium-sized ski resorts with 2-10 ski lifts, and smaller ski resorts with a maximum of two ski lifts. Most ski resorts have modern and environmentally friendly snow-making systems, which allow skiing even when natural snow is scarce, ultimately enabling the skiing season to last longer. Mountain centres are mostly active all year round, so they also offer sports activities outside the winter season.
