Kayaking adventure under Mount Peca

Did you know you could go kayaking on water-filled mine tunnels? You can do so under Mount Peca in Mežica, where miners once dug for lead and zinc ore. Adrenaline-pumping mountain bike descent on the Black Hole Trail

An activity for the most experienced mountain bikers, looking for a new challenge. The Black Hole Trail is a mountain biking adventure, deep underground in the abandoned tunnels of the former lead and zinc mine in Mežica. Following an experienced mountain biking guide, you will descend approximately 150 metres on the black-grade trail extending through five horizons of the mine.

The first-class Alpine climber and mountain rescuer Drejc of the famous Karničar family will take you below the majestic rock walls of Mount Grintovec, where sheep graze in summer. Offer them salt and learn about the indigenous Jezersko-Solčava sheep breed, the authentic mountain life and listen to Drejc’s alpine anecdotes.
