Come to the city for chestnuts

Visit osmica farms

Farmers in the Mediterranean and Karst Slovenia used to have the right to sell their produce and wine tax-free for eight days a year. This is where the name osmica (eight) come from, and you can find such farms in Kras, the Vipava Valley and Slovenian Istria even today. They are usually open twice a year, in autumn and spring, for ten days, giving you a golden opportunity to try characteristic local specialties and wine.
