Debeli rtič

Our photo story begins by the sea, in Debeli Rtič Landscape Park. Stroll among olive groves and vineyards, then descend from the top of the Ankaran Peninsula to the cliff that drops steeply into the sea at Debeli Rtič.

Snežnik Castle 

The lively festival atmosphere during the summer months invites visitors to explore all corners of Slovenia. One of the most popular events is the Floating Castle Festival, which transforms Snežnik Castle and its surroundings into a stunning venue for a variety of events

Nanos

Have you ever visited Nanos? You can't miss it on the route from the inland to the coast. This popular hiking spot offers exceptional views in every direction.

Šmartno

Izola

Gornja Radgona

Olimje Monastery

Lake Rudnik in Kočevje

Lake Rudnik in Kočevje is a popular destination for both locals and visitors, especially on hot summer days when everyone seeks refreshment by the water.  From here, it's just a short step to the urban buzz of Kočevje – or the wild embrace of the famous primeval forest.

Kostel Castle

Ljubljana Castle

In summer, Ljubljana becomes an urban carousel of unique events. There is always something happening – famous music festivals, jazz surprises, and street art performances. One of the highlights is Film under the Stars, when the courtyard of Ljubljana Castle transforms into an open-air cinema for several unforgettable summer evenings.

Novo mesto

Do you know which town lies nestled in the bends of the green Krka River? It's Novo mesto, the capital of the Dolenjska region. Stroll through its old town, visit a museum or bookshop, sip coffee at a café, enjoy an outdoor event, or cross bridges and footbridges and head into nature.

Jezersko

A coral reef… in Slovenia? The picturesque Alpine valley of Jezersko is bordered on one side by a coral reef that's over 300 million years old. Take a walk around Lake Planšar, spend the night at the well-known campsite or – if you are properly equipped and experienced – set off for the peaks.

Radlje ob Dravi

The Radlje ob Dravi Water Park is Slovenia's exclusive biological pool, where water purity and quality are maintained entirely by natural organisms. Next to the pool, you'll find a resort ranked among the world's seven fairy-tale tourist destinations – as well as an adrenaline park.

Črno jezero, Pohorje

The mysterious Črno jezero (Black Lake) in the heart of the Pohorje forests is even more striking when seen from above. Its dark colour comes from the thick silt at the bottom, but the water is crystal clear. The surrounding forest is protected as a forest reserve.

Soča River Valley

As the hot summer months approach, many will seek refuge by rivers, lakes and the sea. One of the most popular places to cool off is the emerald Soča Valley. Be sure to use only designated and well-marked access points, and enter the river only with an experienced guide.
