Rural, refreshing, fantastic.
It might sound like a cliché, but have you ever dreamed of staying in a villa with a swimming pool? However, when you discover some of the truly beautiful Slovenian villas that offer such facilities, you’ll find that they are far from clichéd. Each has its own character, whether it’s a renovated traditional house or a modern architectural masterpiece. Most luxurious villas are found in places benefiting from the Mediterranean climate. However, there is no shortage of such villas in other parts of Slovenia, too. If your dreams are slightly more modest, you can spend an equally comfortable rural break on one of the well-maintained homesteads where you can also take a dip in a private swimming pool.
The most beautiful villas in which to spend your summer
Discover your piece of paradise. Wake up in a luxurious villa with a priceless view of the idyllic landscape. Enjoy the abundance of the countryside – from authentic local flavours on your table to walks in nature. You will find freshness at “your” doorstep, as you can take a dip in a private swimming pool.
The allure of the Mediterranean soul
Most luxurious villas, where you can enjoy the peace and intimacy, are found in places that have a Mediterranean climate. Brda has been a popular area for the residences of aristocrats, the Karst lures with its mysteriousness, while the inland areas of Slovenian Istria are tempting due to their proximity to the sea. Check out some of the most prominent villas in this part of Slovenia.
Villa Fabiani, Kobdilj
Seek out the exhilarating experience of the Karst, which inspired the famous architect Maks Fabiani since childhood. Treat yourself to a break at his estate and in a renovated country manor, which, like Fabiani, have their own magical charisma.
Mravljevi Villa is a sophisticated combination of two worlds – a traditional Vipava house built from stone, wood and clay, and a modern building, which blend into a perfect harmony of living. They are connected by a terrace with an old olive tree and a swimming pool, where you can spend pleasant summer days and evenings.
The boutique villa boasts a unique swimming pool made of Karst stone, which is located in the natural environment of the estate. The pool is nine meters in diameter and five meters deep. Guests can swim in clean water without added chemicals and, at the same time, in the surroundings of the authentic karst villa, indulge in the energy points in the park, the energy water and the energy earth of the beautiful Karst landscape.
The villa’s modern appearance hides a green heart. Alma Vista breathes with the Brda landscape and is a holder of the Slovenia Green label. The villa’s charm also lies in its artistic soul, as the works of national and international artists follow you at every step.
Feel the elegance of being in the peaceful and authentic environment of Goriška Brda. The Peterc Wine Estate combines both traditional elements and modern comforts. Enjoy a stay in elegant rooms with views of the over 200-year-old vineyards, which may inspire you to adopt a vine for a year and receive a bottle of wine which you can present as being truly yours.
A charming image of a typical Istrian stone house is fragrant with the aroma of the lavender after which the villa is named. As you enter, you’ll be captivated by the spirit of nostalgia flirting with modern comfort. And all with a private swimming pool, from which you can enjoy the view of vineyards and olive groves. In 2016, the Danish tourist organisation NOVASOL ranked it among the top 100 exceptional holiday destinations in Europe.
Perhaps at first glance, “Eva” will seem like just another typical Brda house, but as soon as you set foot in it, it will captivate you with its charm. A blend of the traditional and the modern spices up the dream view of the Brda landscape.
In Osp, in the inland areas of Koper, visit a romantic villa where the traditional and the modern are blended into a unique and comfortable living symphony. If you add indulgence in local cuisine and relaxation in a private swimming pool, you know that you’re in for a great holiday.
A modern luxurious villa that offers a superb haven for everyone who likes to take a break from daily worries and simply revel in the comfort of living in the midst of a picturesque Brda landscape. It will be there when you wake up, when you treat yourself to the best from the local environment, and when you cool off in the private swimming pool.
If you’re looking for a residence between the sea and the Karst, you might be charmed by Vila Friuli Karst. Here you will find enough peace to relax, and still have at your disposal everything you need to keep you happily occupied.
Treat yourself to a break in a romantic villa with an outdoor swimming pool, characterised by a typical Istrian exterior and a modern interior. Far away from the crowds, but as near the sea as it should be.
This elegant modern villa is located on an estate in the middle of the romantic Goriška Brda. The modern interior with panoramic views of the Brda vineyards offers an excellent escape from everyday stresses. The villa has its own outdoor swimming pool and a wine cellar with its own wines.
This lovely country villa in the Slovenian Istria’s interior will enchant you with its beauty and warmth. It combines traditional and modern architecture and offers the perfect holiday retreat for both couples and families every day of the year. The cozy and comfortable interior, spacious terrace and heated pool are guaranteed to make your holiday truly special. On top of this, its surroundings offer plenty of opportunities for activities and culinary adventures.
Although it does not have the word "villa" in its name, Hiša Brinovka will impress you with its charming and luxurious villa style. At first glance, it looks like a typical Karst homestead, but upon closer inspection Venetian elements are revealed that give the house a more "sophisticated" look. The luxurious interior flirts with the past to just the right extent that it conjures up romance. Through a well-kept Karst garden and swimming pool, the house reaches out into nature and the idyllic village square featuring a church.
This beautiful and rustically furnished villa is located in Marezige, a wine village with charming views of the Slovenian sea and excellent starting points for cycling and longer walks. Enjoy catching the sun in the garden with a swimming pool or pamper yourself in the evening in the whirlpool.
At the end of the 19th century, the villa was the largest building at Ćetnara (Katinara), as the locals call the lower part of Črni Kal, a village below picturesque cliffs with beautiful views of the Slovenian coastal region. Today the Villa Robida offers boutique accommodation, which includes eleven rooms, three spacious self-catering apartments and a heated pool. A spa and sauna are also available for both its guests and other visitors.
Just a step away from the Strunjan Landscape Park, the modern Villa Laguna is hidden in the intimacy of the Mediterranean greenery. Its unique location offers an unforgettable sea experience and stunning views of the coast. A modern interior offers complete comfort, including a private sauna, and you can find refreshment by its private outdoor pool. The villa can comfortably accommodate six people. The villa is the perfect choice for those who would like to spend their holidays as close to the sea as possible, but would still like some peace and privacy.
