Discover the largest plateau in Slovenia

If you asked a Slovenian what comes to mind when they hear the name Pokljuka, spruce forests, mushrooms, and biathlon would probably top the list of associations. However, a high karst plateau in the Julian Alps is much more. It is located in the Triglav National Park, which makes it perfect for people seeking genuine contact with nature. Vast spruce forests and pastures bursting with life. Pokljuka is a perfect starting point for hiking to the surrounding two-thousanders, including Triglav. In the winter, it becomes a winter wonderland to be experienced through various activities. Pokljuka is also known among sports enthusiasts as a biathlon event venue.
