Villa Muhr - a villa with a history out of the movies

One of the most exciting additions this year is the impressive Villa Muhr, perched on a hill overlooking Lake Bohinj. The new villa, built on the foundations of its predecessor and steeped in a history with echoes of a film narrative, which will welcome its first guests later this year. The original Villa Muhr was constructed in Ribčev Laz over a century ago, in 1902, when Adolf Muhr had it built as a hunting lodge. Later, it became the property of Aleksandar Karđorđević and for a short time it was known as the Karđorđević Villa. In the post-war period, the villa housed an eye hospital and a convalescent centre. Over time, it fell into a state of disrepair, but this year, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, a new villa was built in its place. Retaining the name of its original owner and incorporating stones from the original hunting lodge, the new Villa Muhr is a tribute to its storied past.

Villa Muhr will feature four boutique suites, the largest of which measures 180 square metres. Complementing the Villa's facilities will be a new restaurant and a modern conference hall, adding to the appeal of this prestigious accommodation.
