Slovenia and Poland have taken over the organisation of the Men's Volleyball World Championship, which was originally scheduled to be hosted by Russia. This was the second high-profile volleyball competition for Slovenia in the last three years, following on from the 2019 European championship. The central venue in Slovenia was the Stožice Arena in Ljubljana, where the fans created an electric atmosphere during the group stage matches, the round of 16 and the quarter-final matches.
During the World Championship, the eyes of the world's volleyball public will also be on Ljubljana, the main venue for the "Slovenian" part of the competition.
