Take a walk among the daffodils on Golica

In May, the slopes of the Karavanke mountains are covered in a white blanket – not of snow, but of blooming daffodils, known locally as ključavnice (locks). The most iconic views of these daffodil-filled meadows can be experienced on Golica, a mountain in the western part of the Karavanke range above Jesenice. Don't let their beauty tempt you too much; the daffodils are a protected species and can only be admired in their natural environment.
