Relaxation by the sea
The sound of waves and the beneficial mixture of the fragrances of salt and Mediterranean evergreens are relaxing in themselves. But the sea also has many other treasures in store, which positively affect our health and well-being. You can experience this through thalasso therapy, which is, to a large extent, used in thermal and wellness centres on the Slovenian coast. Treat your body to an escape from the everyday problems and enter a world of unique spa treatments.
The sea and the Mediterranean climate have many positive effects on body and soul. Get to know the key “coastal” natural factors that will pave your way to health and well-being.
The salt-pan mud (fango) from Sečovlje salt pans has beneficial effects on your skin, it boosts blood circulation and is also good for relieving the pain of the locomotor system. It is used primarily for wraps and is a recognised natural healing factor.
Just like salt-pan mud, brine or mother liquor is a recognised natural healing factor. Baths in brine help to improve the skin and soothe rheumatic pains while providing excellent relaxation.
The “softness” of the Mediterranean climate is a real balm for relaxation and has an anti-stress effect; it is especially beneficial for patients with lung problems and skin diseases.
Although sea salt is primarily associated with food, it also works well on the skin – either for aesthetic or health purposes. Salt aerosol also has a good effect on the respiratory system and helps to improve immunity.
Health and beauty at salt pans
Feel the power of the sea and its gifts for yourselves at a unique outdoor wellness centre. In the shelter of the Sečovlje Salt Pans, where salt producers have collected salt using traditional methods for centuries, Thalasso Lepa Vida awaits you. Enjoy massages and salt baths, salt pan mud baths, or brine baths, surrounded by salt pan fields, enjoying their tranquillity.
Find a way to inner balance at the Lifeclass Terme Portorož Spa. Enjoy the beneficial effects of thermal and sea water. Inhale the scent of salt that has a positive effect on your respiratory system. Use traditional approaches to achieving well-being and health and trust the “wondrous” hands of the experts at the Shakti-Ayurveda or Wai Thai Centre.
The energy of the sea and thermal water in Strunjan
Make time stand still and seek shelter from everyday stress in Strunjan. Enjoy a combination of the revitalising energy of the sea, the sun, and thermal water. Soak in sea baths, take care of your beauty and health by taking sea mud treatments, salt peeling treatments, and swim in sea water pools. Also enjoy massages with Mediterranean oils and herbs.

Be pampered and cared for in Slovenian spas and health resorts
Be pampered and cared for in Slovenian spas and health resorts
Slovenian natural spas and their traditions have always been associated with the preservation and restoration of health. In recent decades, through integration in the environment, natural factors, and a modern, professional approach, they have become world-renowned venues for relaxation and discovering the path to oneself.
Some believe that the skin benefits most from things that you can eat. At Slovenian spas and wellness centres you can enjoy special pampering treatments with ingredients that you would usually expect to see on your plate or in your glass.
In addition to enjoying spa treatments at the coast, make sure to visit the picturesque coastal towns of Piran, Izola, and Koper too, breathe in the therapeutic climate of Ankaran and Debeli Rtič, and explore the inland areas that are rich in culinary, cultural, and natural features.
