In 2018, a modern climbing center was opened in the new gymnasium of the 1st elementary school in Celje, which allows climbing on 883.5 m² of climbing surfaces. The largest part of the climbing center is a large climbing wall (height 14 meters), where around 100 routes are set. Next to the main part of the climbing wall is the only speed climbing wall in Slovenia, while the third part is a low climbing wall or boulder wall. At the Celje Climbing Center, beginners can take their first steps, less and more serious recreationalists can test their abilities, and the most difficult routes await competitors as well.
