Not far from the city hustle and bustle in the idylic heart of pristine nature and rich forests of Pohorje, at the elevation 1181 m above the sea level, the Juhart family dedicated their lives to hospitality and care for their visitors. They beagn modestly by leasing a smaller mountain hut. With perseverance and dedication they built a hotel for 172 guests, with 42 rooms, including the Romantic and Snow dens. Rooms Jakec offer comfort and spaciousness with a touch of mountain ambiance. The comfortable rooms for up to 10 people serve as a room for up to 10 people. They are furnished in a mountain style, solid wood furniture, and everything you need for a pleasant holiday in all seasons (toilet, shower, hair dryer, TV, Wi-Fi connection). Some rooms also have a private balcony. The guests can enjoy the relaxation centre with saunas and a jacuzzi, a bowling alley with four lanes, and a sports hall for table tennis and other activities. Due to its location, Hotel Jakec is also suitable for training athletes, especially for high-altitude fitness training. Hotel also has own gym, a small football field on the grass, bike park and archery range with 24 3d targets. Hotel Jakec is also a ski resort. In the south-eastern part of Veliki vrh, at an altitude of between 1,200 and 1,347 meters, there are 4 ski slopes on 16 hectares. Two 450-meter trails are suitable for learning to ski, and the remaining 950-meter trails are suitable for good recreational skiers. The total length of the routes is 3 kilometers. There are are 15 hiking trails near Hotel Jakec within which you can see the Pohorje pearl Black Lake, a permanent exhibition from the National Liberation War and the fate of the Pohorje battalion fighters on Osankarica, Pohorje tourist village Kebelj, Šumnik waterfall with part of the primeval forest, Areh or Rogla, etc. As part of the project Following the mysterious paths of the three kings , Hotel Jakec designed 15 cycling routes that enable a different, but above all, active exploration of the beauties of Styria.
