Growth in number of domestic and foreign guests in the first ten months points to a successful 2015 for tourism

According to preliminary data of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia (SORS), the number of tourist arrivals in the first ten months of 2015 increased by 11 per cent in comparison with the previous year, and the number of overnight stays increased by 7.5 per cent. The number of arrivals of foreign tourists was up by 11.8 per cent, generating 8.1 per cent more overnight stays than the year before. An increase in the number of arrivals and overnight stays of domestic guests has been recorded again this year, i.e. 9.2 and 6.5 per cent respectively.
