A lot has been achieved in the first year, but many more challenges lie ahead

Exactly a year ago, the Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for the Marketing and Promotion of Tourism (Slovenian Tourist Board, or STB) began operating as an independent institution. With the STB, tourism in Slovenia has regained a national tourist organisation which promotes the country as a tourist destination in foreign markets. Impressive tourism figures in recent months and major development steps taken by the country's tourism industry have been driven by the implementation of all STB’s goals, efficient marketing and promotion of Slovenia as a tourist destination, and strong co-operation of the STB with Slovenia's travel and tourism providers and other partners.
