On Saturday, September 16, Lake Bled will be brought to the spotlight with an exciting basketball tournament on a floating court on Lake Bled, Slovenia's iconic gem. In addition, the world will be introduced to the LUKA 2 LAKE BLED basketball sneaker, an embodiment of Luka's remarkable skills and the timeless legacy of the Jordan Brand. This extraordinary partnership captures the very essence of Lake Bled's allure and carries the Slovenian lake's enchantment worldwide.
The Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) with the I Feel Slovenia brand, a key partner of this event, believes that this event presents an unparalleled opportunity for increasing Slovenia's global visibility. Undoubtedly, Dončić's accomplishments overseas have significantly fueled an exceptional increase in tourist interest, further enhancing the allure of this European gem.
The Jordan brand has become a part of the collective memory of all basketball enthusiasts and Air Jordan sneakers remain the dreams of every child and adult to this day. And now, a new legend is born in the form of LUKA 2 LAKE BLED sneakers – a symbol that bears the essence of Slovenia deep within its very DNA. Luka Dončić's homage to his homeland extends beyond a name; it's a symphony of colors that evoke the vivid landscapes of Slovenia. From the brilliance of polar hues to the fiery embrace of scarlet and the myriad shades of blue, each shade tells a story. Remarkably, these hues come to life with a sustainable twist, as over 20% recycled material finds its place within the fabric of these sneakers. This synergy between Luka's innovation and the American sports footwear institution's commitment to sustainability mirrors Slovenia's own strides in this direction, further cementing the connection between athlete, brand, and nation.
As the ambassador of Slovenian Tourism, Luka Dončić's influence not only resonates on the basketball court but also extends to showcasing the captivating beauty and cultural heritage of Slovenia to the world. In every step he takes, Luka carries the spirit of his homeland, infusing it into every aspect of his remarkable journey. That Bled indeed indeed has a special place in his heart is underlined also by the fact that he chose it for the location of his recent engagement.
