Slovenia featured among top 12 sustainable destinations

Condé Nast Traveller with a reach of 2 million readers published an article entitled "12 sustainable destinations we'd love to visit in 2022" featuring top destinations that, according to their sustainability editor Juliet Kinsman, deserve to be visited in 2022 thanks to their sustainability efforts. This is already the second article by Kinsman in less than two months, which openly praises Slovenia's devotion to sustainability. Let us recall: on November 3, Condé Nast Traveller sent out a special green-oriented newsletter on the occassion of COP26, which also featured Slovenia

Slovenia found itself in the company of the countries globally renowned for their sustainability efforts. With the exception of Bhutan, Barbardos, Madagascar and Costa Rica, the article features European countries: next to Slovenia, also Scotland, Finland,Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland. Kinsman praises Slovenia for its superb gastronomy ("but let's be honest - it's the chic and delicious eats that really woo us," she writes), the percentage of formally protected landscape (a 10th), diversity and also the Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism. She highlights Vila Planinka in Jezersko, Zlata Ladjica Boutique Hotel in LjubljanaVipava Valley and its secret gem Cejokotova domačija (a tiny homestead), SunRose7 and the new Alpina Group hotels in Bohinj.
