British Airways launches NEW flight route to Ljubljana on 15 July

The long awaited flight connection between London Heathrow and Slovenia's capital city, Ljubljana, will run from the 15th of July to the 2nd of September with a flight time of just 2 hours, 20 minutes.

Growth in numbers of the British travelleres visiting Slovenia, which is regarded as one of Europe's leading green destinations, have encouraged British Airways to launch a new summer route between London Heathrow and Ljubljana. Last year Slovenia welcomed over 160,000 visitors from the UK, compared to around 130,000 in 2017 and less than 110,000 in 2016.

Slovenia’s pocket-size is another major asset that makes the destination worth visiting, also only for a weekeend escape. Ljubljana can be used as a base for exploring country's varied natural and cultural landscapes, from the snow-capped Julian Alps in the north to the Mediterranean coast in the south.

British Airways will fly to Ljubljana twice a week on Monday and Fridays. Passengers can purchase delicious M&S food on board the short haul flight. Business travellers can also enjoy complimentary food, lounge access and priority boarding. The summer service to Ljubljana will start mid-July and end at the beginning of September.
