Štrekna Bus – exciting news for cyclists!

Štrekna, a popular cycling trail in Mislinja Valley, is considered one of the best organized cycling routes in Slovenia. Just recently, a new bus line was launched, connecting Velenje, Mislinja and Drava valleys and Lavamünd in Austria. After decades, this is the first cross-border bus connection between the Austrian and Slovenian side of Carinthia.

Štrekna is a thirty-seater bus with a trailer for twenty bikes, which from May onwards drives between Velenje, Gornji Dolič, Mislinja, Slovenj Gradec, Otiški Vrh, Dravograd and Lavamünd in Austria. In July and August, the bus will operate on the route twice daily, and in May, June and September on weekends and holidays. Tickets can be purchased on the bus or at bus stations. Prices are defined as the prices of long-distance bus services, but the transport of bicycles is free of charge.
