A futuristic refurbishment of Central Hotel in Ljubljana

Currently probably the hippest hotel in the Slovenian capital, Ljubljana, has just opened its doors. Read 15 short facts and get inspired.

1. The name is no concidence: Central Hotel is located in the very centre of Ljubljana, only a stone's throw away from the old town, on Miklošičeva 9.
2. It features 90 double rooms in four categories. Some rooms have a direct view of the Ljubljana Castle
3. Check-in is done through a mobile application, meaning that you can do it already while traveling there or when boarding the plane. The app also functions as a digital key, which takes you directly to the room.
4. The hotel is pet-friendly.
5. The restaurant is located on the 7th floor and represents a great place for socializing. Your day will start with a yummy breakfast, containing fresh and local goodies.
6. You can wash your laundry in a very special shared hotel laundry room and leave the city fresh.
7. You won't need to walk! The hotel will lend you a kick scooter for environmentally friendly tour of the town.
8. Less closets, futuristic hangers, Scandinavian minimalism, clean lines and creative wallpaper. Especially for the Central Hotel, street artist and illustrator Maksim Azarkevič designed a unique wallpaper in rooms overlooking the Ljubljana Castle.
9. Rooftop @ Central on the 7th floor with a wonderful view of the Ljubljana Castle is not a typical hotel bar. It is the centre of urban culture, offering a get-together space to both: the guests of the hotel and all other fans of the city.
10. 10 sleeping capsules – futuristic living spaces. The capsules feature a comfortable bed, a TV, radio, safe, mirror, LED screen, USB connection and fast Wi-Fi connection. Outside the capsules, guests relax in the lounge.
