Radovljica Chocolate Festival

Alert for all with a sweet tooth: this weekend, 12–14 April, the 8th edition of the Radovljica Chocolate Festival will take place. Spoiling of taste buds guaranteed!

In Slovenia, Radovljica is almost synonymous with chocolate, as it is home to the largest Slovenian chocolate factory as well as a number of smaller family chocolatiers that produce handmade chocolates and truffles. Their slogan, 'Honestly Sweet', derives from the area's long tradition of chocolate-making and this is also why the decision for organizing a chocolate festival was taken.

The first festival took place in 2012 in the old town centre of Radovljica. From the very outset, the festival's organisers had a desire to make the festival an annual event that lures visitors from all over Slovenia and further afield.

Their wish has come true: this weekend, 12–14 April, the 8th edition of the festival will take place. Chocolatiers from throughout Slovenia will exhibit at the festival and numerous accompanying events will take place, among them also the superb, six-course Three Chefs Dinner at Vila Podvin, featuring three renowned Slovenian chefs: Jorg Zupan, Uroš Štefelin and Igor Jagodic. The main theme of the dinner will of course be chocolate.
