Best of Culture in Ljubljana for 2019

In Your Pocket is Europe's leading provider of urban information, supplying locally produced, practical information for over one hundred cities all over the region. On 12 February, the winners of the selection of 'Best of Ljubljana - Best of Culture and Ljubljana 2019' were revealed at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Ljubljana.

Ljubljana is a creative city in which culture is closely linked to the fields of education, economy, tourism and other fields. It is a place which best showcases the work of the world-renowned Slovenian architect, Jože Plečnik, and connects with world famous names of music, such as Beethoven and Hayden.

Rich cultural heritage has always been an indispensable part of Slovenia's promotion on foreign markets. In 2018-2019, culture is also the main theme of the promotional activities for the Slovenian tourism.

In the "Best of Culture" selection, the editorial committee of In Your Pocket has set 9 categories and nominated 92 cultural institutions in Ljubljana to fully cover the diverse cultural scene. In each category, top three were revealed.
