This little inspiring thing called Slovenia

Slovenia has been in the spotlight for a number of things. While Dutch daily newspaper de Volkskrant describes it as a foodie heaven and The Telegraph can not stop praising its natural beauties, National Geographic ranks Villa Bled among the top lake resorts. And Time has just ranked Hiša Franko among the world's 100 destinations to visit right now. But there are other things that showcase the beauties of Slovenia. Like for example the most recent video of Alex Strohl, who we hosted in Slovenia in July or the most recent commercial for Mercedes, which was filmed in Slovenia!

De Volkskrant

In June, the Slovenian Tourist Board hosted a renowned Dutch foodie writer, Mac van Dinther, who collected the material for his extensive article in the daily newspaper de Volkskrant. He visited a number of Slovenian restaurants, including Hiša Franko (Ana Roš), Bistro Monstera, MAK Restaurant, JB Restaurant, Villa Podvin and Rajh Restaurant. In addition, he also visited Open Kitchen, which takes place each Friday in Ljubljana. He has been more than impressed by the diversity of the Slovenian culinary scene and the idea of zero waste and zero kilometre with regards to the ingredients that the restaurants use.

MSN gets about 920 million visitors per month, which make it one of the TOP three news portals in the US, bigger than the New York Times, Bloomberg etc. This time, they shared the National Geographic Article, where Villa Bled is listed among world’s best lake resorts.

Let us recall: who's Alex Strohl and what does he have to do with Slovenia?

Alex Strohl is a Madrid born French photographer whose whole work is characterized by his extraordinary travels. His photography has been featured in prestigious publications such as Forbes, Vanity Fair and Gentleman’s Journal. He spends the vast majority of his time on the road with his life partner Andrea Dabene, who happens to have Slovenian roots. He visited Slovenia in July and captured some amazing moments.
