Slovenia is a country of cycling enthusiasts. And here are the stories which prove this yet once again. And yes, Primož Roglič is included. 

Cycling in Slovenia has gone big!

Slovenia is a country of cycling enthusiasts. This summer, this has been proven several times, most recently this week, when the crowds of fans welcomed Primož Roglič, after his remarkable performance at this year's Tour de France. But it's not just about professional cyclists and the races. It's about adventurous souls, committed to sustainable ways of travelling.  

The following stories show that the love of cycling lies deeply in the genes of the Slovenian nation and that the message of the green, active and healthy country is stronger than ever. A light summer reading + true inspirational stories – the same as the country itself.

Slovenian cycling vagabonds on the road from Copenhagen to Ljubljana

Aleš and Janez, two friends and adventure seekers from Slovenia, cycled from Copenhagen to Ljubljana and promoted Slovenia along the way, by wearing green jerseys with #ifeelsLOVEnia slogan. Their journey took them from Denmark through Germany, Czech Republic and Austria to Slovenia. In two weeks, they beat more than 1700 km. Read their blog about their remarkable journey here.

Primož Roglič at Tour de France – what a remarkable story

Their journey almost coincided with the Tour de France race, which has for sure been something special also for Slovenia: Primož Roglič, the former ski jumper, showed some amazing performance and crowds of fans have welcomed him upon his return to Slovenia. Let us recall: Roglič already amazed his fans in June when the Tour of Slovenia took place.
