Ljubljana will host the ICCA Association Meetings Programme 2018

Ljubljana was selected from the four destinations that applied to be the host of an educational and business event of the ICCA Association Meetings Programme - AMP 2018. The acquisition of professional events by international industry associations is part of the strategic orientation of destination marketing for both Ljubljana and Slovenia, with the aim of improving their visibility and strengthening international business connections.

Ljubljana will host the ICCA Association Meetings Programme 2018

This year, 144 Association Meeting professionals from 32 countries successfully met in Fukuoka, Japan from 29th June to 1st July for the second edition of the ICCA Association Meetings Programme (AMP). At the closing session, the ICCA announced Ljubljana as the destination to host the third edition of the AMP, taking place 9th-11th July 2018. ICCA’s new AMP alternates between a European and another destination anywhere in the world every other year.

Petra Stušek, Managing Director at Ljubljana Tourism, said on behalf of the Local Host Committee: “The Slovenian ICCA members are delighted to welcome the ICCA AMP 2018 to the capital, Ljubljana. We are confident that with its human scale, green soul and vibrancy, topped by our genuine hospitality, it will provide an excellent platform for knowledge exchange and business networking between the participants”.

For the occasion, the Ljubljana Convention Bureau, with the support of its partners, has produced a short welcome video that you can see on the official website of the event.

As stated by the organiser, the ICCA Association Meetings Programme is a prestigious event, intended for ICCA members' sales and marketing mid-level managers working with international associations through research, bidding, sales, marketing, ambassador programmes, or who provide organisational or technical services for these meetings.
