The Tour of Slovenia was a major success

From 15th–18th June, the 24th Tour of Slovenia cycling road race took place. The Slovenian Tourist Board participated in the project as one of its key partners. This year's race represented a milestone, as it was broadcast live by Eurosport, the world's largest sports channel, and consequently reached 243 million viewers worldwide, among them over 113 million cycling enthusiasts.

The Tour of Slovenia was a major success

The successful partnership behind the organisational team included Adria Mobil Cycling Club, Adria Mobil d.o.o., and the Slovenian Tourist Board, together with 13 more partners, mostly from the local environments which the Tour passed through.

For the first time in the history of the Tour, the entire race was broadcast live on the channels of Eurosport, the most popular sports television in Europe and the world. Millions of cycling enthusiasts around the world were able to follow the Tour of Slovenia, and at the same time they got to know the beauty of our country, a green, active and healthy sports destination that can also offer visitors a wide range of active holiday adventures.

This year’s race also carried the sustainably-themed slogan “Fight for Green”, which was directly connected both to the cyclists’ competition for the winner’s green jersey and to the commitment of Slovenia and Slovenian tourism to sustainability, which contributes to maintaining Slovenia as the first green destination in the world.
