Fifth opening event of the Alpe Adria Trail

The Alpe Adria Trail, the three-country trail connecting the mountain of Grossglockner with the Adriatic Sea, is becoming one of the most well-known European footpaths due to its diversity, cultural heritage and natural beauty. The opening event, organised by a different country each year, will be hosted by Slovenia in the Soča Valley this year. Don’t miss the fun and active day along the emerald Soča river on 3rd June.

Fifth opening event of the Alpe Adria Trail

The Alpe Adria Trail is an international hiking path that connects three countries and cultures. Of the 700 kilometres of the trail, 145km runs through the western part of Slovenia, connecting Kranjska Gora, Bovec, Tolmin, Brda and Lipica. Each year the trail attracts more and more hikers and media attention. Even the National Geographic Traveller rated the Alpe-Adria Trail one of the top ten hiking trails in the world.

The Soča Valley welcomes you to the Fifth Opening Event of the Alpe Adria Trail on 3rd June. An all-day trip from Soča to Bovec along the shortened stage 24 of the Alpe Adria Trail, following the emerald River Soča and the Isonzo front, is free of charge and accompanied by experienced guides of the Triglav National Park. Aside from the active day, you can also enjoy a cultural programme, put together by the Orkesterkamp – the summer orchestra school which takes place each year in Bovec. Additionally,  culinary events will introduce the local dishes.

A more detailed programme and information are available here.
