Seviqc Brežice honoured by the EFFE Label 2017-2018

The Sevicq Brežice Festival is a cultural event of national importance, known for its rich programme that includes our musical heritage from medieval times to music from the beginning of the 20th century. This synonym for early music in Slovenia has become a part of the EFFE (Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe) festival community, facilitated by the European Festivals Association, which consists of festivals that stand for artistic quality and have a significant impact at the local, national and international level.
Seviqc Brežice honoured by the EFFE Label 2017-2018

Seviqc Brežice festival promotes the music scene from early history onwards, and takes place in numerous venues around Slovenia from June up to November. The application to receive the EFFE Label 2017-2018 was approved by the International Jury following their successful evaluation: “Seviqc Brežice is an exciting and inspiring festival focused on early music that seeks strategies to add interest to the concerts and gives new value and perspectives to approaching  them in different ways. The festival could develop further audience strategies.”

The festival was established in 1982 by Ars Ramovš, who is also the founder, organiser and producer of the events. The organisational team aims to bring together the most exceptional productions of the world’s early historical music scene.
