Editor of MINT Magazine about Slovenia

Green, active and healthy Slovenia hosted the editor, Déborah Pham, and photographer Agathe Monnot from the boutique French magazine MINT. The magazine is designed for boutique hotels and restaurants in Paris. In cooperation with Slovenian destinations, the latest issue of the MINT magazine includes an extensive story about Slovenia and its must-see attractions, written in French and English.

The article in the MINT magazine greets readers with the welcoming title: “Dober dan, Ljubljana!” – meaning “Bonjour, Ljubljana” – and continues with a description of the capital’s highlights, must-see attractions, and places to eat and sleep.  The story continues with the beauty of the north-west of the country – iconic Bled, with the only Slovenian island in the centre of the lake embraced by the Alps; the spectacular Soča valley with one of the most beautiful Alpine rivers in the world; the romantic coastal town of Piran with its picturesque medieval streets and the eternal charm of Venetian architecture; and the mysterious underworld of Postojna, the most visited tourist cave in Europe, where new baby ‘dragons’ were born this year.

Don’t miss the culinary arts: Ana Roš at Hiša Franko in the Soča Valley is the queen of global innovative cuisine and one of the top chefs in the world. The Klinec inn in Brda, the land of invigorating moments, combines traditional hospitality with modern culinary delights among the vineyards. In Bovec, the local apitherapy Bee Happy presents health treatments in the company of the friendly Carnolian bees, a Slovenian indigenous bee species. On the Slovenian coast, Fonda seabass is a must, and you can even visit a place in the middle of the sea where they breed the fish in the healthiest possible conditions.

Are you interested in cultural heritage? The year 2017 is dedicated to the architectural mastermind Jože Plečnik, who left his mark on Ljubljana, Vienna and Prague. Plečnik House in Ljubljana has been transformed into a museum, which was nominated for the European Museum of the Year Award 2017.
