Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan opens in Nova Gorica

At the end of November, the Republic of Kazakhstan opened a new Honorary Consulate in Slovenia. With its office in Nova Gorica, the consular district includes the coastal Primorska region. The head of the Consulate is the Chair of the HIT company, Dimitrij Piciga. High-level officials of the Slovenian Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives of regional authorities and business attended the opening of the new Consulate.

Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan opens in Nova Gorica

The new Consulate was opened in Nova Gorica on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event also had a symbolic value, marking the 25th anniversary of the independence of both countries. In his opening speech, His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Slovenia, Kairat Sarybay, expressed confidence that the establishment of the Honorary Consulate in the Primorska region of Slovenia will contribute to the development of bilateral relations.

 

The event was accompanied by a concert of young talents from Kazakhstan, Assel Ayapbergenova and Zarina Imayakova, who are studying in Austria within the current European project “Pearls of Kazakhstan - the melody of the Great Steppe.” They performed some works by famous Kazakh and Slovenian composers.
