The white Lipizzaner stallions reined in by the riders of the Lipica Classical Riding School will be the undisputed stars of a gala performance taking place on Sunday, 25th September at 3pm, as part of the Days of the Lipica Stud Farm. During this unique spectacle, they will dance to the rhythm of Perpetuum Jazzile, the world-renowned Slovenian vocal group. Welcome to Lipica!
The magnificent Lipizzaner horses are one of the prides of Slovenia. The Lipica Stud Farm, near Divača, celebrated its 435th anniversary last year. This year’s programme will include an exceptional combination of classical dressage and first-class cappella choir, divided into three unique acts:
*a solo performance by a highly-trained Lipizzaner stallion;
*the attractive “school above the ground” jumping;
*a carriage “dance”.
The Days of the Lipica Stud Farm will take place from 24th to 25th September. On both days, families with children will be able to participate in the Let’s Get to Know the Ponies workshop. The family programme will be particularly rich and attractive on Sunday, when it will include the Land of Adventures for Children, the art and craft marketplace, the old-timer exhibition, a horseshoeing presentation and some tempting cuisine.
