At the end of September Slovenia was visited by a team from British Mountain Biking UK magazine, one of the most popular mountain biking magazines in the world. Writer James McKnight and photographers Andy Lloyd and Ben Winder, responsible for social media, visited seven Slovenian destinations: Krvavec, Ajdovščina, the Soča Valley, Tržič, Rogla, Kočevje and Maribor. During their stay many local mountain bikers joined them on biking adventures around green, active and healthy Slovenia.
"The hospitality is amazing, as well as the mountains and trails. Slovenia has great opportunities for the development of tourism in the area of mountain biking. But to do so, the legislation and law will have to change," commented James McKnight. The crew will prepare a feature in Mountain Biking UK magazine, which sells 35,000 copies worldwide, has an enormous fan base and many followers on social media.
