Slovenia visited by the “Most Influential Travel Journalist”

Josh Mangila, Philippine journalist at Marie Claire Arabia and editor-in-chief of XPEDITION, a luxury travel magazine for active travelers from the Middle East, visited green, active and healthy Slovenia in September. The group of Arab journalists visited Ljubljana, the European Green Capital 2016, Maribor and its surroundings, the Logar Valley, Kamnik, Šentrupert and Terme Krka. We are happy that Josh felt Slovenia and became a true ambassador of our green love. After his visit, Josh received the prestigious Most Influential Travel Journalist award from European Tourism.

Slovenia impressed him a lot. During his visit, Josh Mangila commented: "Slovenia is like magic; it is a mystical paradise that can pull rabbits from hats, it can definitely touch your soul and move your heart to where it should be.” 

On receiving the award for the Most Influential Travel Journalist by European Tourism, as the first Asian journalist, he commented: “I am happy that Filipinos are now getting noticed and recognised in the travel and tourism industry, and I will surely continue my battle, even in the tiniest ways, to erase racism and stereotypes, not only in the Middle East or in Europe but in the entire world. We are all one, we are all the same."

“Travelling should be our right and not our privilege; travelling can open minds and can unite us through the powerful truth that we are all citizens of the world and should be responsible for each other,” Josh added. Slovenian Tourist Board is happy to host a journalist, who’s message is to spread peace and love around the world.
