Hong Kong has a taste of Janez Bratovž’s cuisine

Between 10th and 12th November China hosted culinary experts and professionals, among which were 16 Slovenian wine makers and the renowned Slovenian chef Janez Bratovž (JB Restaurant), who prepared the menu for a Gala Wine Dinner entitled "I Feel Slovenia”.

The Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Competition (HKIWSC) is a well-respected wine and spirit competition in Asia. Between 10th and 12th November China hosted culinary experts and professionals, among which were 16 Slovenian wine makers and the renowned Slovenian chef Janez Bratovž (JB Restaurant), who prepared the menu for a Gala Wine Dinner entitled "I Feel Slovenia”.

The HKTDC Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair took place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 10th to 12th November. The fair featured fine wines and spirits from more than thousand exhibitors from 36 countries. Under the direction of Robert Gorjak and Debre Meiburg – master of wine – 17 Slovenian wine makers were part of the presentation of wines from Eastern Europe, entitled Feast of the East.

The highly anticipated 8th edition of the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine and Spirit Competition Award ceremony took place during the cocktail reception on the evening of 10th November. More than 50 awards were presented at the ceremony. Following the cocktail reception, a Gala Wine Dinner entitled "I FEEL SLOVENIA” featured a menu prepared by Janez Bratovž, the legendary chef of JB Restaurant, who has set the standards for the finest cuisine in Slovenia. His restaurant in Ljubljana, European Green Capital 2016, has been ranked on the S. Pellegrino scale of the World’s 100 Best Restaurants.
