The start of the ski season

In winter, active and green Slovenia is the perfect destination for those who love to spend their free time energetically in the snow. We have some great news for ski lovers – the season has started! Enjoy the over 300 km of white slopes that are offered by more than 40 Slovenian ski centres.

The ski season has started. During winter in Slovenia, there is almost nothing more wonderful than skiing down a snow-white hill. The state-of-the-art ski centres offer slopes of different categories of difficulty, where you can enjoy skiing or boarding on natural snow. Ski at one of the ski centres which started their operating season at the beginning of December.

Just an hour’s drive from Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia, you will find Krvavec Ski Centre. It offers more than 30 kilometres of groomed pistes and wonderful views of the Ljubljana basin. The northern Gorenjska region offers proper fairy-tale skiing in Bohinj at the Vogel Ski Centre, which is perched at an altitude of 1,537m in the heart of the Triglav National Park overlooking the idyllic setting of Lake Bohinj. In 2015 Kranjska Gora was ranked among the top 50 ski destinations by the biggest hotel web search engine Trivago.
