Attractive new features in Slovenias health spas

The Native Americans at Terme Čatež have been joined by pirates. The latest attraction on the Thermal Riviera is called Pirate`s Bay, a village of 20 floating houses. Terme Krka`s popular seaside health resort Talaso Strunjan is open to guests following its recent renovation and now features a Mediterranean programme.

Pirate`s Bay at Terme Čatež
This village of 20 floating houses is situated in a lake and is connected to the land by a wooden bridge. These cosy little houses are built of natural materials. The wooden terrace with a wonderful view of the lake is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the open air. Each house in Pirate`s Bay can sleep 4 to 5 people.

Other important developments at Terme Čatež in 2010:
From May onwards, Terme Čatež`s four-star campsite, rated by ADAC as the best campsite in Slovenia, offers campers 90 new pitches and two new toilet/shower blocks. The Summer Thermal Riviera in Čatež now has a new attraction, Water Wars, where visitors can stage a real sea battle.

Renovated Talaso Strunjan
Terme Krka`s seaside health resort Talaso Strunjan has seen some important developments in 2010. Following an investment of €7 million, the largest investment in tourism on the Slovenian coast this year, the resort now offers larger pool areas and more accommodation, while the brand-new health and hydrotherapy facilities and the relaxation centre are important new features.

The Strunjan health resort is wholly owned by Terme Krka. Thanks to its unique situation in a protected nature park by the sea, a wide range of health, relaxation and holiday programmes, and friendly and attentive staff, Talaso Strunjan has for a number of years been one of the busiest and most popular natural health resorts in Slovenia. Following the recent renovation, the resort has even greater opportunities to develop new thalassotherapy programmes and Mediterranean-themed services, which should confirm its position as the leading thalassotherapy centre on the coast.
