At the end of January luxury cars could be seen driving on public transport lines in the centre of Ljubljana. Random public transport users were offered free rides. During the way to the places of their choice they learned about the popular BBC automotive show Top Gear’s Top 41.

As part of the promotional event, prestigious vehicles – a Porsche 911, a Ferrari F430 Scuderia Hummer H1 and the Fendt 936 super tractor – adopted the role of city busses, driving on the separate yellow lanes of the Slovenian capital. The most expensive and impressive cars in the world displayed regular public transport information, and the passengers picked up at bus stations were taken to their chosen bus stop free of charge. The reactions of the delighted passengers were filmed by cameras installed in the cars.

Top Gear`s 41 started to air on the BBC Knowledge television programme, which was made available in Slovenia at the beginning of January. The automotive show that has been around since 1977 is considered as one of the most popular automotive shows in the world.
