The Secondary School Graduates` Parade, an annual event featuring a quadrille dance performed by secondary school graduates in the streets of different cities in Slovenia and its neighbouring countries, has been entered into several editions of the Guinness Book of Records as a world-record-breaking synchronous dance. This year it is to be held on 20 May.

The Secondary School Graduates’ Parade has, since 2001, consisted of secondary school graduates dancing a quadrille dance in the streets of various cities on a particular day in May at noon sharp, regardless of the weather conditions. It is traditionally performed to music from Johann Strauss`s operetta, The Bat. In 2006, the Secondary School Graduates’ Parade became part of the European Quadrille Dance Festival (SQuadrille − European Quadrille Dance Festival), organised by the Slovenian National Dance Association.

According to the organisers of the Secondary School Graduates` Parade, last year the dance was performed simultaneously by nearly 30,000 graduates in 100 cities in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
