To the joy of wine lovers, the indigenous Slovenian variety Zelen is reborn in the Vipava Valley every year. This top-quality wine is a cause of great pride for Slovenians, and not only because it took its name from the colour green, which Slovenia is famous for. "So much of everything" awaits you in the Vipava Valley, as the local tourism slogan says: a rich natural and cultural heritage, a mild climate and genuine local inns. The locals recommend two distinct itineraries for gourmets. Both of them offer a feast for all the senses – you will be accommodated at tourist farms and the packages include so many wine tastings and homemade culinary delights that you are not likely to forget the people of the Vipava Valley any time soon.
