Conventa, the leading business-to-business event in the area of congress industry in Southeast Europe, is in full gear. The fourth edition of the exhibition for meetings, events & incentive travel will be held on 18 and 19 January in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Conventa has become the leading marketplace for the congress industry of Southeast Europe, organised annually by the Slovenian Convention Bureau.

Conventa represents a successful example of regional integration of congress tourism providers with the objective of increasing recognisability and improving the competitive position on the international congress market. From the international organiser`s point of view, only a small region is a large enough and interesting market in the long term. For the first meeting, the organiser will select Ljubljana, Maribor or Portorož, while the second meeting will be organised in a new destination in the region. This also applies to an organiser with experience organising meetings in Croatia, Italy or Montenegro, who will select a destination in Slovenia for the next meeting.

Meeting organisers who are looking for something new, and perhaps even a little exotic for their meetings and incentives have the opportunity to explore emerging destinations in Southeast Europe at Conventa. The Conventa trade show showcases the diversity of Southeast European destinations characterized by their geographic proximity, professionalism, flexibility, sincere hospitality and truly excellent value for money.

300 selected hosted buyers from all over Europe will have the opportunity to pre-schedule 3,800 meetings with 140 exhibitors from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Republic of Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Romania, Bulgaria, Austria and Italy. The participants will be able to network, listen to renowned professionals from the congress industry, gain in-depth knowledge and get to know the current trends. To experience, first hand, what the Southeast European region has to offer, selected hosted buyers will have a chance to attend FAM trips to several chosen destinations in the region.

Patrick M Delaney, director of Ovacion Global DMC said: "As a professional meeting planner, I`m continuously being asked for something different, something value-centered and exciting with supplier-partners who are flexible and who want to do business. I firmly believe that Southeast Europe can provide answers to many of these needs. Go there and check it out. I know you will be more than satisfied!"

From 18 to 19 January 2012, Conventa will become the centre of the congress industry of Southeast Europe and will surely be the place to be for anyone working in the industry. Have a video tour.
