Panvita Heart Trail for Nordic walking in Moravske toplice

The popular medical resort Moravske Toplice enhanced its offer with an organised track for Nordic walking called the Panvita Heart Trail. The purpose of the trail is to raise awareness among people about cardio-vascular conditions, as these represent the most common cause of death in Slovenia. The risks for the occurrence of these conditions can be reduced by engaging in regular physical activity, such as Nordic walking.

The Panvita heart trail for Nordic walking consists of two trails, both originating at the Vivat Spa, a thermal spa that, along with the Terme 3000 spa, represents the largest tourist provider in this health resort. The “Test yourself” trail is 1.8km long and runs across the urban area of Moravske Toplice. On this track, hikers can test themselves and choose the appropriate level of activity for their heart. The hike can continue on a longer trail entitled “Take time for your heart”, which is 5.5km long. This track leads through the Prekmurje plains and allows you to discover the lovely nature surrounding the path. Both trails are equipped with information boards in Slovenian, English and German, thus allowing the trail to be used by those that are not familiar with the terrain.

The Panvita Heart Trail was prepared by the Panvita Group – one of the leading Slovenian companies for friendly food production and processing from the field to the table – together with its partner, the Pomurje Society of Cardiovascular Health, and supporters of the project, the Municipality of Moravske Toplice, the Tourist Information Centre and the Vivat Spa.
