According to the British survey conducted by Crystal Ski, a skiing vacation in Slovenia and Bulgaria pays off the most, while ski resorts in North America, Switzerland and France are the most expensive. In terms of best value for money, the Slovenian Bohinj, also defined as an emerging destination, took third place.

The British were referred to Bulgaria, because ski resorts there are the most favourable in light of their offer. The second most favourable ski resort according to this British survey is located in Andorra, followed by the Slovenian Bohinj in the third spot, a resort that has been placed on this list for the first time in history.

The survey considered a four-member family going skiing for six days. The costs that were taken into account were the price of ski passes, private skiing lessons, lease of ski equipment and food and drinks on slopes.
