The Soča Valley presents itself with a new promotional film

The Soča Valley has presented the emerald Soča River, the stories behind the First World War’s Soča Front and the manifold experiences of exploring and spending an active break in an enticing way in their new promotional film “The Soča Valley – The Walk of Peace”. The film was prepared by the Walks of Peace in the Soča Region Foundation, in cooperation with various partners at the destination.

The film shows the exploration of secrets from past periods that have characterised this valley – one that stands out most is the period of World War I or the Soča Front, followed by experiencing nature, diverse possibilities of an active holiday, ethnological features, cuisine, authentic people and so on.

The Soča Valley is the first destination of excellence in Slovenia – the region won this title by preserving its nature and stories. We can experience them in many different ways – on the Walks of Peace with a guide who will make you feel like you are being escorted by a World War I soldier; meeting artists who turn river stones and sand into stunning shapes and forms; at tourist farms and eco farms that pamper your senses with natural flavours and experiences; on adrenaline filled runs down swirling rapids; on panoramic flights over mountains; at tastings of cheese delicacies; on your way along shepherds’ paths, affording views unlike anywhere else, etc.
