Virgin Australia placed Slovenia 2nd among top 10 for 2012

In its January edition of Voyeur magazine, Virgin Australia puts Slovenia in the second spot among top 10 inspirational places to visit in 2012. Slovenia was described as follows: “This hidden gem combines old-fashioned charm with modern sophistication. Low on the average travellers radar, it actually offers the perfect Euro getaway – its compact, wonderfully diverse and boasts lush outdoors as well as a youthful and artsy capital city of Ljubljana.”

In its January edition of Voyeur magazine, Virgin Australia puts Slovenia in the second spot among top 10 inspirational places to visit in 2012. Slovenia was described as follows: “This hidden gem combines old-fashioned charm with modern sophistication. Low on the average traveller`s radar, it actually offers the perfect Euro getaway – it`s compact, wonderfully diverse and boasts lush outdoors as well as a youthful and artsy capital city of Ljubljana.”

They see Slovenia as a “little slice of Europe still undiscovered, but it is rapidly becoming one of the continent`s coolest destinations”. They advise us to visit it now, “before crowds, theme parks and high prices take over.”

Briefly regarding the selection of destinations: “Some are newly eager to get themselves on the beaten track, others have been around for centuries and are enjoying a revival. All are sure to guarantee travellers an exceptional experience.”

First place on this list is taken by Botswana (Africa), and Slovenia is followed by Tibet (Asia), Houston, Texas (United States), Flinders Ranges (Australia), Hyderabad (India), Wyoming (United States), Macau (China), Guimaraes (Portugal), Shaanxi and Henan (China).
