The INTERNAUTICA International Boat Show is the Adriatic`s most significant marine lifestyle event with a long tradition, held every year in May at the Portorož Marina. Every May, INTERNAUTICA awakens the nautical season, as well as all supporting activities on the Adriatic coast. The event will take place this year during two weekends in May, 10-12 May and 17-19 May; the event will also introduce several new features.

INTERNAUTICA is one of the most influential Central-European nautical events. It has an important strategic influence on the boat and nautical equipment market, as well as on the development of nautical tourism in the Adriatic region and the Mediterranean. Every year, its visitors are presented with numerous nautical novelties and attractions by the most prominent global manufacturers. INTERNAUTICA provides a rich offer and market for a wide range of various nautical and sports products.

During the last several years, INTERNAUTICA hosted exhibitors from all over the world, with more than 1000 prominent brands, always including the most important global names in nautical industry. The exhibition site hosts interesting professional meetings, conferences, as well as educational, sports and social events. The exhibition is visited by at least 30,000 local and foreign visitors per year. The organisers regularly record successful sales results for exhibitors, since INTERNAUTICA is, above all, an opportunity for the direct sale of boats and other nautical products.

The exhibition site covers a considerable part of the most prominent Slovenian Marina in Portorož. Indoor exhibition spaces and outdoor sites offer various opportunities for quality presentation of exhibited products and services.

This year, the Portorož-based international boat show is undergoing numerous changes. In previous years, Internautica was organized in such way that all boat show events and programmes were presented over six days of a single week, from Tuesday until Sunday. As a result of past experiences, as well as boat show visitor analyses, the organizers decided to set Internautica 2013 following the principle of two long weekends; this is expected to improve not only the event, but also increase the number of visitors and business results.

The first part of Internautica 2013 will kick-off on Friday, 10 May at 10 a.m. and will last until 7 p.m. Sunday, 12 May; the second part will continue from Friday, 17 May and will finish with the boat show closing event, on Sunday, 19 May 2013 at 6 p.m.

On the days between the two weekends, the boat show site will be closed to the general public. It will, however, be open for exhibitors, who are encouraged to organize special events, in collaboration with the organizers, such as boat tests, press days, meetings of brand representatives, etc.

With the objective to generate a business environment that will be based on sales demand through personal and direct dialogue between the exhibitors and visitors, the Internautica organisers have decided to introduce the `Internautica Tourism Exchange`, which represents an important business opportunity for tourist companies/destinations that offer products or concepts of active, cultural, health or wellness tourism, charter and charter management, entertainment tourism, casino business and gastronomic experiences.
