New green offer on Pohorje – Ruševec Green Village

A new green story of five ecological log cabins with additional offer and Ruševec permacultural circle, called Ruševec Green Village, is being written on the green Pohorje in Eastern Slovenia, at the height of 1000 metres within the Natura 2000 protected area. Visitors will be taken on the path of the Pohorje battalion and presented with the power of nature and Pohorje forests.

The story from Pohorje is a story of sustainable tourism. It is a story written in green, since the construction of the Ruševec Green Village adds totally new sustainable content to the existing tourist offer.

The Ruševec Green Village is composed of five ecological log cabins for 4 persons, Vila Ruševec apartments with 6 modern equipped apartments for 2, 4 or 7 persons, boutique Ruševec Wellness with a whirlpool and Finnish sauna as well as thematic wellness treatments and Ruševec permacultural circle with 10 stations (including an herb garden, beehive, ecological garden, heat pump, botanical cleaning plant, eco log cabins, green roof, rainwater collector, bio natural pond and high beds).

The Ruševec permacultural circle represents a living space model – habitat model by immitating the patterns from nature and building the environmental awareness of guests – the journey includes several educational and representational activities.

The offer also includes adventures on Pohorje and exposes the green character of the Pohorje destination – the mighty mountain range in the North-Eastern part of Slovenia, mostly forested with coniferous forests, while the heart of Pohorje is represented by the plateau world of numerous bogs. Therefore, the offer, based on cooperation with other providers of tourist, catering, cultural, sports and other products, includes cycling and hiking trails, skiing, adrenaline adventures, visits to ecological farms on Pohorje, tastings on the Podpohorje wine-tourist road, visits to nearby towns and their sights, etc.

The youngest guests will be able to enjoy the unique mascot `Ruško the Rooster`, the picture book `Stories of Ruško the Rooster` and the park Ruško`s World.
