Another culinary project that integrates the best tastes of Slovenia in the form of culinary classes and trips has come to life at the beginning of fall. Cook Eat Slovenia is intended for anyone who likes good food and is interested in traditional Slovenian recipes and small Slovenian culinary tricks that make the dishes even tastier. The creators of this new product would like to show Slovenia to tourists in an even more pristine way and remind and teach the locals about the possibilities of the Slovenian culinary tradition.

Slovenia is a country with very diverse cuisine and it is common for Slovenians not to know of dishes from other culinary regions. The Eat Cook Slovenia project was developed by a small group of culinary enthusiasts - Špela, Andreja, and Mateja, who love Slovenian cuisine and wines. They said: "We believe in fresh and locally produced ingredients, waking up at 5 am to pick mushrooms, herbs or chestnuts in the forest, turning them into delicious soups, pies, jams, cakes, and drinks. We carry on the rich culinary traditions of our grandmothers with a twist of our own. Our hope is that each and every Slovenian has knowledge of at least the most important Slovenian dishes; not only by taste, but how to prepare them. In this way, we will preserve the Slovenian culinary culture, successfully pass it on to future generations and promote it to our visitors."

Where did the team get the idea for the new culinary project that includes cooking classes and culinary trips? “Our love for cooking developed through family, travel, cooking classes, and professional experience. We have more than 15 years of experience in tourism, event management, organization, and marketing. Now we would like to combine the two things we enjoy most – cooking and working with people. We will help you discover the best there is about Slovenian cuisine.”

In the popular and likeable Ljubljana Gostilna Dela, participants will get familiar with various tastes from throughout Slovenia, while at the same time having fun with active participation during cooking creation. The culinary workshop will present a four-course dinner, four different Slovenian wine varieties and other seasonal treats.

Those who will spend less time in Ljubljana will be taken on some culinary sightseeing of the town with a professional guide. Through sightseeing of Ljubljana, they will also become familiar with other regions of Slovenia, taste everything from štruklji to anchovies, fresh malvasia and aged spirits, while also hearing many entertaining stories.

For larger groups, individual offers and time periods can be prepared, adjusted to their wishes and tastes. Over the following year, the offer will be expanded to include culinary holidays with cooking classes, along with culinary discovery and nature walks throughout Slovenia.
