The booklet of stories Soča, Do Tell was published

Experience Slovenia and Italy on the Walk of Peace from the Alps to the Adriatic a century after the Isonzo Front. The Walk of Peace is connected by the Soča River and the historic heritage of European importance. The local co-creators of tourism have, within the framework of the European project T-Lab under the auspices of SPIRIT Slovenia, connected to create a cross-border network. The heritage of the First World War and its wrathful battles served as a starting point to create new tourist programs. The remains and stories of the Isonzo Front were enriched with relaxation in the shelter of nature, which serves as a counterbalance to the storm of history. The Walk of Peace symbol is a bird. Not in vain.

The remains and stories of the Isonzo Front were enriched with relaxation in the shelter of nature, which serves as a counterbalance to the storm of history. The Walk of Peace symbol is a bird. Not in vain. The local providers in Posočje, Goriško, Goriška Brda, Slovenian-Italian Karst and the hills of Idrija and Cerkno hope that visitors will, in the midst of beautiful nature, breathe and feel freedom.

The booklet Soča, Do Tell lists several great ideas for trips along the Walk of Peace. Initially it presents unlimited weekends where travelers can select their own itineraries. A weekend can be experienced with an expert guide, individually or in a group, with a car, on foot or by bicycle. The second part of the booklet contains two guided trips – By Bicycle on the Walk of Peace andWith Taste Buds on the Walk of Peace. The first trip includes cycling from the Alps to the Adriatic and becoming familiar with all the shades of emerald green of the Soča River; the second program features the history of the region, the hospitality of the locals and local treats.

The Soča, Do Tell brochure brings interesting stories closer to the reader, which will enrich the environment and experience of visitors on the Walk of Peace. Kobarid Museum director Jože Šerbec and his son have arranged a bathing area along one of the warmest Alpine rivers, Nadiža River. Maša Klavora and her co-workers provide guided trips on the Walk of Peace. During his mountaineering, Miloš Domevšček from Bovec found 115 beer bottles from the First World War. Ivan Jelinčič, who has enjoyed the riches of the Soča River ever since he can remember, is a hospitable farmer, zither player and painter. Moreover, the mountain village of Čadrg is full of young families that run an ecological cheese dairy. Kobarid is also known for its top chefs, including one of the currently most desired masters of cuisine in Europe, Ana Roš. The boys from the Tolmin speleology section know the secrets of the emerald Tolminka River and Dante`s cave, while the most western village in Slovenia, Robidišče, is famous for Pavlina`s pasta.
