The British newspaper The Independent recommended in March to its readers to spend their spring holidays in lovely Ljubljana, which was introduced as a smaller capital in the heart of Europe with colourful architecture and numerous cultural and culinary experiences. And the Financial Times has placed Lendava among ten of the best European cities of the future in 2014-2015.

Attractive Slovenia, which is located in the very heart of Europe, has been a real treat for foreign media in recent years. The Independent`s article in March Ljubljana: Capital idea for a spring break was represented as the Lonely Planet`s recommended Great Escape. It described the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana as a city "where everything that`s important is happening" and as a city that is a living museum of the achievements of well-known European architect Plečnik, as well as a city which, with street artists on the streets, reminds one of the cultural theater outdoors.

What should the perfect spring getaway in Ljubljana be like, you ask? The Independent advises that for a start you sit in front of the Prešeren monument, and then a take a stroll around this lovely city. Pay attention to the rich architectural fairy tale, such as the Plečnik Three Bridges. Then go to Tivoli Park, walk through the baroque old town centre and admire the newly renovated Opera House. Don`t forget to visit the Museum of contemporary art in Metelkova and Equrna Gallery, the oldest among urban galleries. Spring holidays should be completed with dinner above the city at Ljubljana Castle. Check the 3-day packages with the widest range of experiences in Ljubljana and drink a cup of coffee in the spring at the idyllic River Ljubljanica. Ljubljana was also examined closely on Italian Sky television, when it was presented in its winter image. You can watch the video here.

From the West to the far East of Slovenia, which is not more than 200 km away from Ljubljana. The Financial Times, in its March report "European cities and regions of the future 2014/2105", from nearly 500 locations pinpointed the Slovenian city of Lendava. The town on the border with Hungary in the Pomurska region has achieved a place in the ten best sites of Southern Europe and of European micro cities that have a potential for direct foreign investments.
